The Mews, Alcaidesa
The “Mews” was completed in 2002 and is nowadays one of the most sought after residential developments in Alcaidesa. The project consisted in 40 semi-detached houses set around communal facilities which allowed for swimming pool, paddle tennis court and landscaped gardens.
The design approach was different to the traditional Andalucian style, and this has been part of its success. The Mews homes combine spacious garden plots together with living accommodation of 3 & 4 bedroom layouts. As part of the design brief views towards Gibraltar and the sea was a must and to achieve this, the site was “sculpted” to allow houses at the back of the development to see over those at the front.
